In this direction, the path undertaken aims to evolve the way issues related to diversity are managed, moving from an approach focused on the protection and integration of “diversity” to a proactive strategy aimed at overcoming every cultural stereotype and identifying and resolving the factors that prevent people from being included in the workplace.

The Consortium operates impartially and does not allow any form of direct or indirect discrimination, multiple or interconnected, in relation to gender, age, sexual orientation and identity, disability, state of health, ethnic origin, nationality, political opinions, social category of belonging and religious belief. It also promotes conditions that make it possible to remove cultural, organizational and material barriers that limit people’s full expression and their full recognition and development within our organizations.

GP Ingegneria S.r.l. preserves the value of its personnel and promotes the protection of their physical, moral and cultural integrity through working conditions that respect individual dignity and behavioural rules.

In this context, this document aims to develop a clear approach in terms of mission, strategies and active practices in order to stimulate a collaborative, supportive working environment open to contributions from all employees, to increase the trust of people, customers and, more generally, civil society.

The objective is to promote diversity in all its dimensions, in order to fully seize the resulting opportunities and generate value within working environments, also gaining a competitive advantage in business.

The document reaffirms the company’s commitment to comply with and actively disseminate the principles set out in current legislation, contractual provisions and standards issued by international reference organizations (e.g. the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the related Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs; the United Nations Global Compact and Women’s Empowerment Principles, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, United Nations Conventions on the rights of women, on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination, on the rights of children, on the rights of persons with disabilities; the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and the eight fundamental Conventions of the International Labour Organization – ILO; the ILO Convention on violence and harassment of June 2019).

General principles: dimensions of diversity

Diversity is a value that must be protected and encouraged through concrete and pervasive actions in all organizational and management processes, by understanding, including and enhancing people’s differences. Diversity enriches and opens up to new ideas, multiplying the possibilities of generating innovative solutions: people from different cultures, social and generational backgrounds, abilities, skills and experiences represent a distinctive value that enables comparison between multiple perspectives and makes it possible to understand and anticipate the needs of customers and other stakeholders.

GP Ingegneria S.r.l.’s commitment to fostering people’s value, so that everyone feels included and can give their best, is expressed in a strategy for the development and management of human resources, capable of promoting an inclusive culture to enhance people’s uniqueness and ensure access to the same opportunities for professional growth regardless of the role they hold in the organization.

Gender

The company values gender balance and the elimination of all stereotypes, discrimination or prejudice, in order to create the best conditions in which every person can express themselves at their best.

On a cultural level, the Consortium is committed to steadily strengthening awareness-raising initiatives at all levels with actions aimed at overcoming “unconscious bias”. In addition, it promotes policies and actions to support equal opportunities, work-life balance, shared family responsibilities and the removal of potential obstacles, including those related to sexual orientation.

GP Ingegneria S.r.l. recognizes and enhances integrated strategies for the development and management of the needs of the different generations that coexist within the organization.

In this perspective, taking into account demographic trends and their impact on company turnover, policies aim to foster intergenerational dialogue and exchange. The focus is not only on workers’ age and professional seniority, but also on identifying effective ways for their development, encouraging the interaction of different social, cultural and work experiences, as well as the different abilities, knowledge and skills typical of each generation.

Disability

GP Ingegneria S.r.l. recognizes equal opportunities for all its people regardless of sensory, cognitive and motor disabilities. In this context, it is committed to implementing concrete measures to promote the recruitment and inclusion of people with disabilities, fully enhancing their talent and skills within the company and thereby contributing to the removal of cultural, sensory and physical barriers.

Actions are aimed at supporting the self-development of people with disabilities, through training and capacity-building activities, as well as creating accessible working environments through suitable initiatives, tools and aids (so-called reasonable accommodations).
